Your customer is ready to replace their old copier(s). Should they simply do a like for like and move on?

The answer to that is a resounding NO!

There are 3 main reasons that will dictate the proper solution, let’s explore.

In the copier world, the common names you know like Xerox, Canon, Konica Minolta, are most likely going to be installed at your customer.  But did they really need it? 

If your clients needs fit any of the 3 points below, they need a traditional A3 copier: 

• A3 – The term A3 refers to the paper size 11 x17, or ledger.  An A3 copier can print, copy, and scan on 11 x 17 paper.  A4 devices max at legal sized paper. 
  
  
• Extended finishing – A3 copiers can punch holes, hold large print jobs, create booklets, etc.  If they need extended finishing, must go A3.
   
• The volume dictates the "Upgrade" – A3 copiers use larger toner cartridges, therefore they are less expensive to run.  In the example below, if the customer averages over 32,250 pages month, then the difference in rental pricing dictates the A3 machine.  See math below. 

 The difference in cost per page is .004 and rental is $129 per month.  .004 / $129 = 32,250 pages.
